Who Should Study this Course?

This course is for people desiring to work in Marketing Management positions in a broad range of industries. People in Marketing Management positions are usually responsible for managing the work of others and are responsible for implementing and reviewing marketing practices to achieve organizational objectives.

Students will learn specialist marketing management skills such as identifying and evaluating marketing opportunities, planning market research, establishing and adjusting the marketing mix, implementing and monitoring marketing activities and interpreting marketing trends. In addition to this, students will learn advertising competencies and essential financial competencies to be able to operate effectively in Marketing Management positions.

The course is most suited for individuals who are currently or are aspiring to be Marketing Team Leaders, Marketing Managers or Product Managers in small, medium or large firms in both the public and private sector.

The course is delivered online or at Unique International College’s Granville campus, located in Sydney Australia, which is situated close to public transport and shops.

 

Career Opportunities

On completion of this qualification, students may be able to work as a Marketing team leader, Marketing Managers or Product Manager in small, medium or large firms in both public and private sector.

On completion of this qualification, candidates may undertake the BSB60515 Advanced Diploma of Marketing, or a range of other Advanced Diploma qualifications from the BSB Business Services Training Package or other training packages.

 

Entry requirements

For direct entry into this program, students must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older at the time of course commencement; and
  • Meet the technical requirements specified below
  • Adequate Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills or be able to read, write and communicate at least to the level of year 12

 

Note that there are no pre-requisite training or previous employment requirements for entry into this qualification.

 

Technical requirements:

All students of this course will be required to access computers for learning purposes and to complete course assessments. As such, learners must have beginner/intermediate computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Work, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Skype and knowledge of how to use the Internet to access information.

 

Technical requirements for online students:

Online students must have access to a suitable computer or tablet device with a connection to internet. Online students will also need access to skype and a video recording device such as a web cam or mobile phone. For specific computer technical requirements for online students please see below:

Entry requirements will be checked at enrolment in line with the Institute’s SMP 133 Student entry requirements, selection, enrolment and orientation policy.

 

Issuance of AQF (Australian Qualification Framework) Certification

UIC is responsible for issuing AQF certification documentation to a learner whom it has assessed as meeting the requirements of this training product.

 

Award

This qualification is part of the BSB15 Business Training Package. Learners who successfully complete this course will be issued BSB51215 Diploma of Marketing.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Have you worked or studied in this field before? RPL allows you the opportunity to be recognised for skills experience and study that you may have already attained. To gain RPL you will need to contact the college for our RPL kit, which will guide you through the process of presenting your evidence. RPL will only be granted before the start of the course, or within the first two weeks of starting of the course.

Competency, Reassessment and Repeating Units of Competency

To successfully complete a unit of competency i.e. achieve a Competent result for the unit, a Student must achieve a Satisfactory Result for all assessment tasks for that unit. For each Assessment Task, Students are provided with 3 opportunities to achieve a Satisfactory Result in line with the Institute’s Student Assessment, Reassessment and Repeating Units of Competency policy. Should a student be unable to achieve a Competent result on the completion of training and assessment for the unit, the Student will be deemed to have obtained a Not Yet Competent (NYC) result. Students who have obtained a NYC result may be eligible to undertake 1 reassessment at no additional charge, provided they have submitted all assessment tasks for the unit of competency by their due dates as specified by their trainer and have made a genuine attempt to complete each assessment task. Should the Student be unable to achieve a Competent result following re-assessment (where the student is eligible for reassessment), the Student will be deemed to have failed the unit (i.e. achieved a NYC result) and will be able to re-enrol in the unit in line with the Institute’s Student Assessment, Reassessment and Repeating Units of Competency policy. Normal Tuition Fees apply for re-enrolling into a unit (i.e. the full cost of the unit of competency), which is stipulated in each programs Course Information Sheet and the Institute’s Student Assessment, Reassessment and Repeating Units of Competency policy.

VET FEE-HELP is available to assist eligible students studying higher level vocational education and training (VET) qualifications to pay their tuition fees. Students can access VET FEE-HELP from Unique International College Pty Ltd, which has been authorised by the Australian Government as an approved VET FEE-HELP provider to deliver BSB51215 Diploma of Marketing.

The Australian Government pays the full amount of the tuition for BSB51215 Diploma of Marketing to Unique International College, and you repay the loan back to the government through the tax system via compulsory and/or voluntary contributions once you are working and meet the minimum income threshold.

VET FEE-HELP is only available to Australian citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa. VET FEE HELP attracts a loan fee of 20%. There is no interest charged on HELP debts.
