UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE PTY LTD TRADING AS UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE IS A REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION (RTO). UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE  IS APPROVED BY AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT TO  OFFER EDUCATION UNDER VET FEE-HELP LOAN SCHEME  TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS UNDERTAKING HIGHER VET QUALIFICATION (DIPLOMA LEVEL COURSES). THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT TO APPLY UNDER VET FEE-HELP LOAN PROGRAM. PROSPECTIVE STUDENT MAY BE 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER (FOR UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, PARENT / GUARDIAN MUST ALSO SIGN THE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION FORM).
If you are an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN or HUMANITARIAN VISA HOLDER, you may be eligible for Australian Government assistance through VET FEE-HELP LOAN PROGRAM.

All Eligible students can enroll and study now, gain the qualification you want and pay back the loan through the tax system by compulsory or voluntary contribution once you are in the workforce and earning the minimum income threshold.

Eligibility 

You are eligible for VET FEE-HELP if you:

  • are an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian visa holder (resident in Australia for the duration of the unit); AND
  • are a full fee-paying / fee for service student studying a diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate or graduate diploma level course at an approved VET FEE-HELP provider; OR
  • are a student subsidised by the Victorian or South Australian State Government studying a diploma or advanced diploma course; AND
  • have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit (see below); AND
    • meet the tax file number (TFN) requirements: OR
    • if you don’t have a TFN you can give your provider a Certificate of application for a TFN. This certificate is available from the Australian Taxation Office after you have applied for a TFN

Who is Unique International College and what is VET FEE–HELP?

Unique International College is a registered training organization (RTO ID 91350) based in Granville NSW and it has approval from the Australian government to deliver its Diploma level and advanced level courses under VET FEE HELP loan program.

Vet Fee-Help is Australian government’s study assist loan program and able to assist eligible students (Australian citizens or permanent humanitarian visa holders) studying higher level vocational education and training (VET) qualifications to pay their tuition fee. VET FEE-HELP can be used to pay for all or part of an eligible student’s tuition fees. VET FEE-HELP loan program gives you the flexibility of studying now and paying later. However, VET FEE-HELP is a loan, that is expected to be repaid and it affects student’s credit rating. Are the courses offered under VET FEE-HELP free or government funded?

The courses offered under VET FEE-HELP are neither free nor government funded. VET FEE-HELP is a loan that you take from the Australian government to pay for your course fee. This loan will remain recorded against your name for the rest of your life until you pay it off. You are required to pay this loan back to the Australian government through voluntary or compulsory repayments.

How Much Can I borrow?

There is a set maximum amount that you borrow to pay for your tuition fees through VET FEE- HELP over your life time. This is known as the VET FEE-HELP limit. For 2015 the limit is  $97,728.

When do I have to repay my debt HELP?

You have to start repaying your HELP debt through the taxation system once your repayment income is above the compulsory repayment threshold, even if you are still studying. The compulsory repayment threshold is adjusted each year. For the 2015-16 income year, the compulsory repayment threshold is $54,126..

Is there a loan fee?

A 20% loan fee applies for VET FEE-HELP loans accessed by full fee paying/fee for service students. The loan fee does not count towards your FEE-HELP limit. The accumulated debt is indexed according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). You will not incur the loan fee if you are a student who is subsidised by the Western Australian, Queensland, Victorian, South Australian and Northern Territory Governments.

 Am I eligible for VET FEE-HELP?

You are eligible for VET FEE-HELP if you:

-are an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian visa holder (resident in Australia for the duration of the unit); AND

-have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit

-are a full fee-paying / fee for service student studying a diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate or graduate diploma level course at an  approved VET FEE-HELP provider; OR

-are a student subsidized by the Victorian, South Australian, Queensland, Western Australian, New South Wales, Tasmanian or Northern Territory Government studying a diploma or advanced diploma course or a specified certificate IV course except in Tasmania.

Will previous study or other debts affect my eligibility?

Any previous study you have undertaken, and any other financial debts you may have incurred will not affect your eligibility to access a VET FEE-HELP loan. As long as you meet the above eligibility criteria and have enough of your FEE-HELP limit (see above) left to cover your tuition fees, you will be able to access VET FEE-HELP.

Will Vet Fee-Help loan affect my credit rating?

VET FEE-HELP is a loan that an eligible student may take from the Australian government to pay for the tuition fee for eligible qualifications. This loan is expected to repaid back to the government and it impacts on student’s credit rating.

Is there any enrollment incentive?

As of 1st April 2015, it is illegal for any provider or its agent to offer free enrollment incentive or inducement (such as Ipad, laptop, cash or meals etc) to any student enrolling under VET FEE-HELP loan program. Unique International College (UIC) does not offer any enrollment incentive or inducement and does not authorize any of its representatives to offer any incentive or inducement to the students enrolling under VET FEE-HELP loan program .
